Another Simple Favor Review

I was very intrigued to find out that they were making a sequel to A Simple favor. Anna Kendrick is one of my favorite actresses so naturally I couldn’t wait to see this one. Anna and Blakes chemistry from the first movie was what made it a huge success. With that being said I was expecting much more of the same in the latest entry into this franchise.

I’m not sure what it is but I didn’t know how I felt about this movie after seeing it. I had to re-watch the first and then watch this again to gather my thoughts. I think what made the first film so good is we didn’t know how the story would play out as there seemed to be one twist after another. In Another Simple Favor, they essentially used the same formula and put it on a much larger scale.

That’s not to say that it doesn’t work for this film because it does, and I was just as entertained and invested in the mystery of it all as I was with the first film. Anna & Blake’s chemistry shines once again but it doesn’t quite recapture the magic they had in the first one. I still think it is a really good movie but it just didn’t hit the same as the first.
